Decade Rooms

Mary Manning Jackson is the Decade Rooms Coordinator and she and the Leads from each decade have begun the search for items that will make each of the rooms a special place to visit, to network, to reminisce and to catch up with friends from the past.  They are looking for memorabilia from the various decades. Each Decade Room is looking for general "stuff" but also things particular to that specific era.

Here's a note from Mary:

"I encourage everyone to look through your Bell High School personal memorabilia to see what would be useful for the rooms. Here are ideas of some of the memorabilia we might display:  student hand books, several yearbooks for each year, school sweaters/jackets and sports uniforms on mannequins, gym bags, team badges, pictures, certificates, letters from the principal, beanies, music from the decade playing, a slide show/powerpoint presentation (don't think I'm going to do that unless someone volunteers to handle it), a decade quiz, a decade time line of local, provincial, national and international events, photos of the school and people, concert programs and ticket stubs (really!-I have one from an alumnus!), student work eg cartoons, newspaper articles on the current fads, scrapbooks, bruin costume (we have one in storage at the school), pad of detention slips (from a 60's alumnus!), band or wrestling or other sports or team memorabilia, info on VIP's from the past and present, and so on and so on and so on."

If you have something that would help dress up one of the Decade Rooms, please use our Contact Us page to let us know.

Film or Video

Hi everyone!  This is just a little follow up to Mary's request.  We are planning to have a videographer working the reunion.  This may be a stretch, but is there any chance someone may have some old 8mm home movies from way back when?  We would love to be able incorporate footage into the DVD.

If you have any film or video, please use our Contact Us page to let us know.

As an aside, this is just a small "funny"!  As I am doing my spellcheck/grammarcheck, Windows does not recognize VIDEOGRAPHER or 8MM!  We can't be THAT old!
